House and studio photos...

I snapped a few photos around the house and in the studio when I started my Spring cleaning
and thought I would post a few today.
Nothing's changed much, but I was in the mood to share some corners and views
that I liked as I cleaned away the dust.

A favorite linen fabric I sewed into a pillow...
don't know the maker or the name of the linen, but it looks so cottage.
I've had the yardage for years.

Lots of rain here lately,
and it's hard to keep white things white when muddy paws
are around.
Jackson and T.T. Rabbit's favorite place in the house is on our bed.

A lavender sachet bought at my favorite shop Rebecca's.

dried lily of the valley in a little silk coin purse.

A little re-arranging in the entry and living room.

As you can see, Jackson is not camera shy.

We've had such a light and sunny Winter this year. It has
truly been beautiful this year.

The past two weeks have been rainy and mostly cloudy, and although
I love the sun, I also enjoy rain when we get it.
I am in a part of Idaho where rain doesn't happen often, so it's a welcome change.

The studio has also gotten a good cleaning and straightening.
(looked like a bomb had gone off in there)
it always looks like a bomb went off  : )

The only reason it is still clean this weekend is because on Monday --Thursday
I left home to go see my mom, sister, and daughter for a few days on the other
side of the state : )

I love fussing with this shelf and I'm always adding or taking away something on it.

I have a bad case of writer's block and haven't been able to sit and write an interesting post in
weeks and weeks and weeks.
I think I have been too busy to think about anything interesting and heartfelt.
But...
I'm sure it will pass and I'll be going on and on about something.

I have been working on so many
projects all Winter and when I do that I don't do anything else
but think of finishing and starting something new.

This has actually been one of the most productive Winter's for me on record : )
Someday soon I will show you a little of what I have gotten accomplished.

Most of what I've been doing however is finishing up house projects like painting, organizing
and de-cluttering and I promise you won't have to be
exposed to all of that,
but I have also done some projects and sewing in this studio of mine.
I am thankful everyday for a sweet husband who wanted this for me and made it happen.
I never take it for granted when I walk through it's doors.

I would like to share a couple of giveaways that I was lucky enough to win.
First was a giveaway hosted by Janet Coon of Shabby Fu Fu.
It was a 50 dollar gift certificate to the Post Road Vintage shop.
I have now known Janet for sometime as I know many of you have, and I
remember her being one of the very first blogs I found when I was
introduced to blogging. I have learned so much from you Janet and thank you for the many
inspired posts you have authored.

Thank you so much Janet!

The next giveaway was from Terri at the beautiful blog Artful Affirmations.
I so enjoy Terri's blog and the art she creates.

What a beautifully wrapped gift!
Don't you love the little doily under the lovely paper rose and ribbon?
Nothing cuter than a pink rooster tag!!!

but then....
just look at what I won!!!!

Love, Love, Love It!!!

Thank you so much Terri.
The bracelet is all the perfect colors for Spring!
I will really enjoy wearing this!!!!

Your white cat is just too cute! I want to redo my bedroom and have a white bedspread, I just don't know how I would keep it clean with a little dog that thinks it is her bed too. Glad I am not the only one with this problem! I hope you are having a great spring so far, even though it never wants to stop raining!

Your blog is always a delight to visit even if you do have writers block....I've been writing up a storm in my personal journal but not so much on my blogs. We go through seasons I believe. I come here to see the beauty because photography is definetly your gift to us. I still just love how you decorate your home. It is cottage coziness and happiness to my heart. ox

When are you going to learn "I don't do dust", sugar?!

Here in the valley with all the farmers around us it does no good to dust except every year or two. ;-)

Beautiful photos.

Oh my goodness June I just want to pin every photo you have on this post! Your house is so very lovely and you are so good with your camera!

I have the cutest little mantel area that I did for my last post but you really don't see how darling it is because my pictures just don't capture it like I would like.

Writers block. I have given up on thinking that I can say anything with grace and imagination in my posts. Never was gifted in the word department except being able to talk a mile a minute!

Oh I am so looking forward to seeing what you have been working on! I am still enjoying the process of the creative space I am working on though with the warms days the last few days it has been outside for me!!! I was thinking of you yesterday wondering when you plant your sweet peas? I am thinking maybe I should plant those now. Have to get out my little garden/seed shelves- keep saying that but have yet to do it.

Boys left last Saturday and still have lots of work left on the house. Not sure when they will be back to get the rest done. I have been racking and sweeping up pink paint chips all around from the pressure washing they did. I think my yard will never be the same after that!

June, your home is just exquisite! I'd NEVAH EVAH be able to have white with all these guys ... no joke! It is such a joy to visit those that can decorate with white, to enjoy.

Where did you get that white appliqued lamp shade?

Your cat is such a beauty ... I loved black cats, & had many.

Your gifts are wonderful! I so love that bracelet ... lucky you.

So glad you had such a lovely visit. I do know that you were thrilled to travel for a bit. So glad Landon is doing better now.

Well, those roses aren't available. I tried etsy & ebay but they aren't the same ... I'll keep poking around.

HOW DID I MISS THIS????

June, your studio is inspiring. I have resigned from my teaching job, I will be a substitute teacher next fall, and I am redesigning my goals. My studios (one in the basement, one upstairs that serves as an inspirational space) will be undergoing changes to shape my focus. WHITE and GRAY and pastels will be the highlight and now all I have to do is learn to take GOOD PICTURES!!!!!

You inspire and I wish you the most BEAUTIFUL DAY! Anita

I love the softness of your style, it is always so romantic. It is easy to see that many of the items on your shelf have a story from a past life, that draws me in every time. I love thinking about where the little treasure may have lived before.

Writers block - hmmm, it seems there are a few of us right along there with you. I remind myself often that writing isn't any different than having a heartfelt conversation with a friend. And you lovely lady, always bring your heart out to warm your readers.

HOW do you keep things white with pets?....I am surrounded by MUD and my dog tracks it everywhere. It is the bane of my existence....between the dog and hubby dragging hay that attaches itself to every part of his clothing.
You see....I HAVE NO MUD room. Our house is incredibly teeny and without sounding ungrateful...I LONG for more room...for space and a MUD ROOM. someday????

So looking at your blog and your beauty makes me smile.

Where do I start? First, I absolutely love your Jackson. So sweet. Whether you have writers block or not, your pictures are gorgeous so on those days the words don't come, we will suffer with just your pix :) The fabric on your pillow is just my style. Feel free to send it to Illinois. I will take your front door too. It is kind of mission style and will fit in nicely with our home. Throw in a bowl of those lace hearts (like those too.) What's the story on that odd shaped shade you have? Have you told the story on that and I missed it? Looks way cool. I'm also a big fan of silver and I'm liking your collection ~ alot! Spring cleaning is my favorite time. You can't beat the smell of clean if you know what I mean. Congratulations on your Romantic Home piece but you should probably be a regular. Beautiful bracelet ~ and the most important ~ congratulations on your beautiful grandchildren, including the most recent.

You have come a long way since those days on the farm and milking 70-100 head, which are a lot of cows. Hope you had a parlor or at least a pipeline. (BTW, thanks for all of your comments. I think I have caught up now.)

June your home is just beautiful. I too have been busy painting, sewing and working. The weather this winter was amazing, however, it does make for early flowers and early weeds. I am hoping to get a few flower beds weeded while on vacation next week, in between day trips to the local museums, and fun days planned with the kids. I know what you mean about the writers block, I have had some myself. Oh well, Spring is here with it's own todo list. Have a wonderful Easter with your family.

Hi dear June. Thank you so much for your sweet words and prayers. I am very late visiting but here I am admiring all your photo's. You have a beautiful home with such lovely furniture and all that gorgeous stuff lying around on planks and such. I have to go back and look again. Might learn a few things here.
Hugs from Riet and Happy Easter to you and yours

Oh hi my dear, I missed your wonderful posts and I am happy that you've interrupted your writer's block phase :o) and showed us your pretty cleaned corners. I love your house, and I really would be glad to have such a decorative shelf! All the beautiful things that you've decorated on it! But my favorite image is the photo of the pretty white cat sleeping in a pretty white bed. Jackson is soooo cute! Did you know that he has a twin in Germany? Please look here: http://resisweissewelt.blogspot.com/
Warm hugs and Easter-blessings to you and your family!!!

Oh how I love peeking around your lovely home... it's so darn pretty. Can you come give me a hand? Especially with the yard. It's soooo tiny so not much fits in it.

My dear blog friend. I love when your face pops up on my comments. It's like a call from a good friend and it makes me smile. I never grow tired of this sweet blog community of friends and how it has made this big old world of ours somewhat smaller and connected us to such wonderful people and places. Your home and garden and life are not only a blessing to you but a sweet place to visit that makes one forget the cares of the day in it's beauty.

Hello June..How nice it is to visit you again. You are always an inspiration. Reading your post here about not being able to blog "for weeks and weeks.." is just great. I too have not blogged for weeks and weeks...just didn't have it. I was delighted to know I'm not the only one. I was worried that I'd lost some very dear friends.
I have also looked at the post of your grandchildren. They are very beautiful...love the newest name you've added. Kelsey, eh? He even looks like a Kelsey baby. ...^.^) [that's my opinion, but it's true] I have been revived a great deal here. Hope all is well for all of you.

Also picked up the Romantic Homes magazine several weeks back. I think I posted you about that.

Dear June, just letting you know I'm hanging in there!
My heart is always lightened by a visit to your pages, I love your home! You must work SO hard to keep it clean, although as you say Idaho doesn't get much rain so less muddy paws and boots then I'm thinking?

Sending hugs dear June xx Jane

Hi sweet June!
As always, I love stepping
into your world and
seeing it through
your eyes....I am also
a soul who loves the
rain, and lucky us, we've
finally had some, too,
after a "dry" {read: not
much snow} winter. It
was truly a blessing and
now I'm ready to embrace
the next seasons.

Hugs to you and yours....
